BANDALOOP and West End Arts Disctrict (Presented by BANDALOOP and West End Arts Disctrict)

  • Hangar 25 1951 Monarch Street Alameda, CA, 94501 United States (map)

Two dancers in harnesses wrap around each other. The background is a blue sky with white fluffy clouds.

Vertical dance pioneers BANDALOOP dance company premiere their new work Somewhere to Land as part of the RISING TIDES, the City of Alameda's climate arts initiative.

Somewhere to Land is a new work inspired by the city of Alameda's visionary plan to transform a portion of the former naval air station at Alameda Point into an ecological park. Taking root in hopes for rewilding and for sustainable futures, Somewhere to Land will be performed on the facade of Hangar 25, one of two buildings which have been slated for demolition to allow for the construction of the future 'De-Pave Park.'

Enjoy drinks from Hangar 25 resident companies Alameda Soda Company and Urban Legend Cellars available from the event bar on site.

This is an ADA-accessible venue.
