Mary Zimmerman returns to Berkeley Rep with an English language adaptation of Mozart’s Magic Flute, using only 10 singers and five musicians. Join Tamino on a daring quest to rescue the captive princess Pamina. Encounter dragons, birdmen, and trials by fire in this enchanting microcosm of wonder where magic and music intertwine. This show is 90-minutes with no intermission, is suitable for children ages 10 and up, and contains haze and flashing lights.

The show ends around 4:15pm, but there is an optional docent-led discussion that is held after the show that lasts around 30 minutes at the maximum, ending around 4:45 pm.
