Wolf Play (Presented by Shotgun Players)

  • The Ashby Stage 1901 Ashby Avenue Berkeley, CA, 94703 United States (map)

A young boy in boxing gloves braces for a fight. A silhouette of a wolf hovers beside him and a silhouette of a robin flies overhead. The text reads, Wolf Play, written by Hansol Jung, directed by Elizabeth Carter. "I need you with every cell I possess." Performances begin on September 2nd at Shotgun Players.

What makes a family? In Wolf Play (by Hansol Jung, Directed by Elizabeth Carter), we meet a young boy who feels more connection to wolves than people: “Wolves suck at being alone. Wolves need family.” The play incorporates humor, puppetry, and sharply written dialogue in this tale of people grappling with questions of identity, trust, and parenthood.
